Chicken Stuffed with Prosciutto, Mozzarella and Basil

How often do you eat chicken throughout the week? If you are seating at our table, at least twice! Here is one of our easy and satisfying chicken recipe. This makes a nice dinner for friends and family, and as you can see it presents very well. For sides, we recommend green beans, and potatoes! 

Serves: 4 ppl

Ingredients:

4 chicken breasts
1 pack of fresh mozzarella
4 slices of prosciutto
8 basil leaves
1/3 cup white dry wine
1/3 cup half and half cream
1 tbsp. sour cream

Instructions: 
1.  On a cutting board, slice your chicken breast in half (not all the way).
2.  Take your sliced chicken breast, and stuff it with one layer of prosciutto, one layer of mozzarella, and 2 leaves of basil.
3. Close the chicken using toothpicks. 
4. In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp. of oil and 1 tbsp. of butter. Add the chicken.
5.  Sear 5 minutes each side.
6.  Add your white wine and season with salt and pepper. (Remember the prosciutto adds already saltiness). Let it simmer for 10 -15 minutes covered.
7.  Remove chicken from the skillet, and let it rest on the side, cover it with foil. 
8. Meanwhile, add half and half cream and the sour cream. Let it reduce for a few minutes.
9. Plate chicken, and drizzle the sauce over it.
